Bank of America joins index bandwagon

The bank joins a growing pool of dealers, including AIG Financial Products and JP Morgan, that are launching index products targeted for use by investors, hedgers and decision-makers.
The indexes track the performance of the currencies individually and in eight multi-currency baskets, grouped by liquidity and regional relationships.
The indexes are split into two style methodologies: systematic style indexes (SSI) and optimised expectations indexes (OEI).
SSIs are style-based indexes that track
