EBS adds rand to spot trading

Launched on April 5, the currency is traded as both euro/rand and dollar/rand currency pairs. Some 30 banks are trading the pairs, although EBS declined to name them.
Traders are now able to check on the movement of the rand, euro, dollar and gold on a single screen, which provides opportunities for trading crosses. The new offering is supported by EBS's market data for G-7 currency pairs, including gold, available as a currency pair against the dollar on EBS spot.
