The number of countries in the eurozone is set to decrease over the next five years, according to 42% of respondents to a foreign exchange industry survey published by Bloomberg on November 1.

The survey polled 270 bankers, portfolio managers, traders and treasurers at the vendor's recent FX11 summit and found only 27% of respondents expect the same number of countries to be using the euro in five years' time, while 31% expect new entrants to the monetary union.
