Citi prepares to go mobile with Velocity platform

Citi is preparing to make Velocity, its flagship foreign exchange trading platform, accessible to institutional clients via tablet and mobile device, initially for order management but with plans to add functionality for core execution by mid-year.

Citi Velocity for Mobile is already available for research and commentary across asset classes, but the bank is testing an FX trading component, which will be added to the existing application, allowing users to switch between the two. The trading app
