The Investment Association, representing the UK asset management sector, is calling on liquidity providers to give further disclosure on last look, saying asset managers are constrained in their ability to meet their clients’ needs without more clarity regarding how and when the practice is applied.

The IA published a position paper on February 22, in which it called on LPs to publish a clear definition of last look and give reasons for declining trades if that happens, drawing on a standard
