Jim O'Neill and his team at Goldman Sachs have scooped the award for the City's leading currency analysts in the 1996 Extel survey in both the weighted and unweighted categories for review, forecasting and strategy in regard to currency movements. Runner up was Dr. Paul Chertow of UBS. O'Neill, aged 39, also won last year, but at the time was head of macro-economic research at newly merged SBC Warburg. He joined Goldman soon after the awards ceremony (FXW, July 31). O'Neill's successor at SBC
