Scotia Launches Investment Banking Unit While Concentrating Trading In Singapore

Scotiabank has launched a new global investment banking concern under the marketing banner of Scotia Capital Markets and has shifted from a regional to a global product line approach within its global trading division, says the investment bank's new FX manager, Barry Wainstein.

The changes were effective from November 1. Separately, Scotia will expand its business in Singapore as its primary dealing centre for Asia from February 1, Wainstein adds.
