The Telerate-sponsored conference on "Crisis and Challenge in the Foreign Exchange Market" held in London earlier this week proved a reasonably well-organized event with at least a few provocative speeches.
Although a few speakers saw a gloomy outlook for the markets ahead, the predominant mood was of cautious optimism. The forex market, said most speakers, is not in crisis, but is undergoing some profound structural changes. Nonetheless, it will survive and surmount these challenges, emerging
