CME Expects A Brighter Future For Currencies After Mixed Year

Chicago Mercantile Exchange officials expect that 1991 will be a good year for currency futures and options volume as credit concerns, continued growth of managed futures funds, the launch of Globex and new cross rate contracts lift currency futures and options activity to new heights. But those expectations come in the wake of decidedly mixed returns in 1990.

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange is looking forward to "a very good year," according to Andrew Good, senior director, currency products
