Société Générale Splits Sales Desk As Part Of London FX Expansion

Société Générale in London has divided its FX sales desk into two groups as part of an overall expansion in sales and trading in spot and forwards. London treasurer Mike Beales says the eight-strong corporate team is now split between a "transactional" group for "professional traders" and a group handling traditional corporate business.

Both of the new corporate desks report to John Miles, who came to SocGen from ABN Amro late last year. Beales says the "professional" desk will deal with trades
