FINEX Tries To Revive Dormant ECU Futures Set To Shorten Trading Hours, Suspend Fees

In an attempt to revive its snoozing ECU futures contract, the Financial Instrument Exchange (FINEX) is set to suspend fees and shorten trading hours, according to Richard Jaycobs, managing director of the exchange.

FINEX, a division of the New York Cotton Exchange, is hoping that investor interest in the European Currency Unit will emerge ahead of European unification and has taken its ECU contract off the back burner where it's languished since its launch some four years ago.
