Ten-Strong Gerald Metals FX Team Disbanded After ED&F Acquisition

LONDON--Following its acquisition of Gerald Metals in April, finance trading house ED&F Man has let go all but one of Gerald's forex staff in London, sources say, although officials at ED&F Man decline to comment.
Gerald's FX operation consisted of some eight dealers and three customer sales staff, and was overseen by FX manager Brian Bartaby. Sources say that when the deal was first announced about two months ago, the Gerald dealers were initially told they would all be given places in the new
