RBC Merger Spurs Closure Of Royal Trust FX Desks

Treasury executives at Royal Bank of Canada have moved quickly to absorb the foreign exchange and treasury dealing rooms of Royal Trust Bank in the wake of the merger of the two banks, which was officially completed September 1. Officials at RBC in Toronto and London say RTB's small dealing network is being wound down.
