Swiss Bank Corp. Opens New Paris Subsidiary

Swiss Bank Corporation (SBC) last week opened a new capital markets and treasury subsidiary in Paris, bank officials announced. The new branch, which opened its doors October 14, essentially fills the gap left vacant by SBC's Banque Stern subsidiary, which it sold earlier this year, according to Thomas Stasselbach, a spokesman for SBC in Basle.

Stasselbach explains that the subsidiary will carry out the bank's new policy of integrating all wholesale market functions as far as possible into one
