ING's Quantum Hires Team From Gerald To Lead Move Into Foreign Exchange

Quantum Financial Services has hired a seven-person foreign exchange group from commodities company Gerald Inc. to lead its first foray into 24-hour foreign exchange trading, according to Richard Prager, ING Capital's managing director in charge of derivatives and treasury. Quantum is a futures commission merchant, fully-owned by ING Capital, the Netherlands-based ING Bank's investment banking operation (FX Week, February 14).

The group, led by Dan Lasater, is in the process of moving four people
