SocGen shifts spot from Sydney to HK
HONG KONG - Société Générale is shifting its Asia-Pacific spot FX trading desk from Sydney to Hong Kong, triggering three departures from the team, according to market sources.
Paul Milton, Nick Duffy and Stuart Stevenson have taken redundancy rather than relocate, sources told FX Week. Stevenson joined the bank at the start of 2005, originally in an institutional FX sales capacity and was previously with fund manager Aspect (FX Week, January 10, 2005).
