Murphy ends 14 years at Morgan Stanley

A market source confirmed Murphy's 14-year stint at the US bank will come to an end once he has completed 90 days' notice. He had a reporting line to Roberto Hoornweg, London-based head of interest rates, credit and currencies (IRCC).

Murphy's decision to leave comes just over a month after the bank's chief financial officer, Colm Kelleher, announced there would be a 10% headcount reduction in institutional securities and 9% within asset management (FX Week, November 24).
