August 2006 - ABN Amro trader faces execution in Vietnam

The story which rumbled on until the bank paid the government in November, began with Incombank, Vietnam's fourth-largest bank, filing a lawsuit in March against ABN Amro over FX losses. Four ABN Amro employees were detained as a result of the accusations with the staff having remained in prison since March.

ABN Amro continue to deny any wrongdoing in the matter, while an audit performed in October by the State Bank of Vietnam reported that the Dutch bank violated Vietnamese banking regulations
