Currency focus: Danish krone

The Danish krone has a 30-year association with a fixed currency, having been pegged to the Deutsche mark since 1982 and later to the euro, but while the association has put Denmark's economy on a sound footing, few periods in its history have posed greater challenges for the country's central bank, the Danmarks Nationalbank, than the financial crisis.
