Busy start to year sets records on EBS

Daily trading volumes repeatedly topped $150 billion during January and February, while March 3 was the fourth highest-volume day in its history, with more than $175 billion traded.

The first two months of the year also account for 50% of the broker’s top 35 busiest trading days, EBS said.

"As the leading provider of spot foreign exchange, the volumes traded on EBS in the first two months of the year are a true reflection of the FX industry as a whole," said an EBS spokesperson.
