Xavier Debonneuil, chief executive of French investment bank SG, was killed in a car accident in France on December 26, a spokesperson for the bank in Paris told FX Week.

Debonneuil joined the French bank in 1985 from Banque de France, where he was head of the econometric and research department and adviser to the governor. He was deputy head of FX and money markets for five years, before being made head of the forex and interest rates group in 1990.
