MMS/MCM merger leads to Asia-Pacific lay-offs

Lauretta Gell, joint managing director at MCM in London, who is now also responsible for MMS, said there had been lay-offs in MMS’s worldwide sales force. Although Gell declined to comment on numbers or locations, the source said MMS has lost three sales and support staff in Singapore, three sales staff in Hong Kong and a senior account manager in Japan.

Among those who have lost their jobs is Ian Tham, former Singapore-based sales director for the Asia-Pacific, who was responsible for sales
