Reuters sees sales turnaround

Reuters America is leading the sales growth, and executives there attributed their success to improvements in the sales and support organisations.

Phil Lynch, chief executive of Reuters America, said in the recent down market, Reuters focused on customer service, client infrastructure and training rather than sales. This included hiring Mike Steinharter, formerly of IBM, to head sales in the Americas; consolidating help desks and doubling the number of trainers.
