Danske staff in relocation dilemma

The Danish bank announced last month that it is closing its New York office and cutting staffing levels in London as it reduces its global head count, causing many to fear for their futures.

Jens Peter Neergaard, global head of FX trading at Danske Markets in Copenhagen, said the bank is having ongoing negotiations with staff in terms of relocating them within the organisation.

He denied that the FX business would be hit by the office closure. "In fact we are looking to beef up our FX sales team
