IFX loses foreign exchange head

Romilly, who cited management differences with chief executive Edmond Warner, said he plans to stay in the forex market, although rumours that he is joining Prudential-Bache are unfounded, he said.

Warner said his aim is to impose a strategy "the board can believe in".

"I am making sure we are controlled and well positioned for growth, and unfortunately not all people can share that vision," he told FX Week.

Romilly left of his own accord, he added.

There are no plans to replace Romilly.
