Merrill NY appoints treasurer

Merrill Lynch has named Russell Stein as head of treasury at Merrill Lynch in New York, a spokesperson told FX Week. He reports to chief financial officer Ahmass Fakahany and replaces John Stromber, who left the bank for personal reasons at the end of July.

Stein was previously a senior manager in corporate finance at Merrill in New York. A replacement for that position has not yet been confirmed, said the spokesperson.
