US banks revisit specialist sales

These banks reported declining contact with some clients as a result of pursuing a generalist model, which has grown in favour among global banks because of its economy and because clients wanted one point of contact (FX Week, February 10).

Having made the shift to a generalist sales force four years ago, JP Morgan has now reinstated its specialist FX sales teams. Head of European FX Adam Burke told FX Week: "We originally moved to a generalist structure because we thought it was in the best
