Asian currencies stable following Bali attacks

"The currency has held up surprisingly well, particularly compared with a couple of years ago when we wouldn't have seen this kind of stability," said Claudio Piron, head of FX strategy at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore. "A key issue will be how the Indonesian government responds to this in terms of anti-terror legislation. There seems to be some effort on that front already, so the early signs are that some good may come out of this."
