Emerging markets success for FX funds

Managers investing in emerging markets were up 2.06% in October, compared with a monthly return for the general FX index of -0.16%, according to index owner Parker Global Strategies.

Currency managers also reported that focusing on yields brought increased returns during the month. FXConcepts’ reallocation of assets on its programme in favour of a yield-based module "paid-off nicely", said Philip Simotas, president of the firm, which placed second on the FX Index.
