New Fimat platform targets exchange clients

The firm hopes the new service will win it clients lost to exchanges such as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, with its Globex electronic trading platform. Fimat said client take-up of that platform had hit its margins considerably.

"We wanted to keep the benefits of guaranteed liquidity and electronic trading and give the client a full straight-through processing solution," said Julian Knight, Fimat’s London-based head of FX.
