Job Market In London Improves For Spot Traders, Say Recruiters

The job market for foreign exchange traders in London has revived this year in the wake of 1992's high FX earnings, according to London recruiters. Although headhunters see no strong trends in the type of traders banks are seeking, the demand for spot dealers seems to have recovered since last year.

"April is so far the best month we've had in two and a half years," says Martin Sills, a recruiter at Zarak Hay who describes the London job market as "optimistically buoyant, but not wild." Agrees
