Matif Plans October Launch Of Mark/Paris Option Contract

Matif, the French futures exchange, plans to launch a Deutsche mark/French franc option on 23 October, pending regulatory approval, exchange officials announced last week at the Burgenstock futures and options conference in Switzerland.

The new option will broaden the range of the exchange's existing currency options products, which were first launched last year (FXW, May 30, 1994).

The mark/Paris option is the fifth one the exchange has launched; the first two were a dollar/mark and a dollar
