EBS Releases Subscriber List Showing 135 Bank Branch Users In 12 Cities Worldwide

In a move to rebut suggestions that the Electronic Broking Service (EBS) is used only by a "club" comprising its 13 owner banks, the EBS Partnership has released the names of current users of the service, which electronically matches foreign exchange transactions.

This list shows that after three months of operation, 135 bank branches now use the service in 12 cities worldwide. Of these, 81 are of EBS partner-banks or their subsidiaries. The other 54, or 40 percent, are of unaffiliated banks-
