US Investment Banks Report Healthy Q3 FX Trading Results

NEW YORK--US investment banks enjoyed a healthy showing in FX in the third quarter of 1999, according to market officials. Although they do not break out their results from FX on a quarterly basis, analysts and senior traders say that results were good, despite a downturn in volumes from last year attributed to the introduction of the euro, lower volatility, and a reduction in the activity of the hedge fund sector.
