Interest rate differentials back on agenda

LONDON -- Interest rate differentials -- formerly a driving force in the forex markets -- are back on the agenda, market players told FX Week, and the antipodean currencies have benefited most from the change in dynamic.

Both the Kiwi and Aussie dollars have found themselves among the top performers against the US dollar this year, and traders pointed to the difference in those countries’ interest rates compared with the US as one likely explanation. Australian interest rates currently stand
