Dollar keeps shine despite US accounting worries

NEW YORK -- The US dollar remains the FX market's favourite currency, despite increasing US equity worries triggered by the collapse of oil giant Enron and fears for corporate profits.

The Enron bankruptcy, FBI investigation of network provider Global Crossing's accounting practices and the ensuing fears over other possible "creative accounting" has seen Wall Street wracked with uncertainty and increased investors' risk aversion, analysts said.
