Steve Bassi is joining Bank of America in London as chief spot FX dealer. Bassi was formerly head of spot FX trading at First Chicago's London office until he left the bank earlier this year (FXW, February 23). Darren Barker is also joining as a senior spot trader from SBC Warburg Dillon Read in London. The hires are part of a wider build up by the bank (see story on page 1).
Julie Yim has returned to the London office of WestLB as a director for institutional FX sales--a position she vacated
