ACI reports uptick in membership

LUXEMBOURG -- Membership of forex industry body ACI -- The Financial Markets Association increased last year to 15,000, ACI president Heering Ligthart told FX Week. There are an additional 3,000-5,000 associated members -- staff such as vendors, consultants and accountants not eligible for full membership.

The uptick follows increased interest from expanding areas within foreign exchange, and the ACI’s May 2000 decision to welcome applicants dealing in all financial instruments.
