Japanese Banks Post Lower 1995 Forex Results Across-The-Board

Japanese banks reported declines in foreign exchange trading profits across-the-board for the fiscal year 1995 that ran from April 1, 1995 through March 31, 1996. The second half proved a more difficult period than the first, with nearly all of the banks showing weaker results, although the Bank of Tokyo (BoT) managed to take the lead for both halves, once again topping the earnings table for the year (see related article, this issue).
