M&A Outflow From The Euro Area Slumps

The pace of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) outflows from the eurozone took a dramatic downturn for the first three weeks in November, according to a report from Citibank's FX Economic Commentary department.

The report showed announcements and completions of M&A deals with capital outflows from the eurozone in that period was under $5 billion.

M&A announcements from the euro area decreased considerably from July 2000 onwards, but the completion of these announcements led to large capital outflows
