Dealers report quiet September 11


NEW YORK -- Traders reported quiet dealing activity in the FX markets on the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks last week.

Although trading was relatively subdued for most of the week as dealers awaited Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan’s testimony before the Committee on the Budget in the US House of Representatives on Thursday (September 12), and US President George W Bush’s speech to the United Nations also on Thursday, September 11 was particularly quiet.
