City Salary Survey Shows Annual Compensation Steady In FX Sector

Alexander Mann, one of the City's largest financial markets recruitment agencies, has publicly released its 1998 Financial Markets Salary Survey for the first time. While many sectors of the market--primarily emerging markets and equity derivatives--showed upward shifts in annual compensation, the forex sector was steady, according to the survey.

"Basic salaries have been fairly static, with annual pay for a desk head capping at about £100,000. Bonus payments have increased by 25 to 30 per cent
