Matif Plans To Launch Currency Options In Second Half, Competition For PHLX?

Matif, the Paris futures and options exchange, is planning to give the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) a run for its money in the currency op-tions business. Though details of the Matif's plans remain sketchy, currencies have been targeted as one of the key product areas for 1992, and exchange officials there say that a launch in the second half of the year is likely.
