NEW YORK -- UK-based emerging markets specialist Standard Chartered Bank goes live with a new foreign exchange trading floor in New York on August 26.

The floor -- a replacement for the bank’s previous one at 7 World Trade Center (WTC), which was destroyed in the September 11 attacks -- has approximately 40 trading positions in total, the bulk of which are fitted out for FX trading, said a spokesperson at StanChart in New York.

That’s in excess of the current headcount in FX. The new floor at 1
