Cantor Fitzgerald New York Starts Emerging Market Options Desk

Cantor Fitzgerald, one of the largest U.S. government securities' brokers, is starting a new emerging market options desk in New York that will focus initially on emerging market currency options. The desk is being set up by two former Bear Stearns currency options and proprietary traders, Mark Weissman and David Passman, who joined Cantor two weeks ago.
The desk will gradually open for business between August 1 and September 15, says Weissman, with emerging market currency options being phased
