BankBoston Re-Examines Forwards Trading Operation to Improve Pricing


BankBoston is re-examining its forwards capability and setting up a new desk under Darsh Mariyappa with an eye to improve pricing. The new operation, which brings together aspects of interest rate trading and risk management, will advance a trading product which has become "almost obsolete", Mariyappa says.

Mariyappa's plan is to build a desk which will "take forward trading and look at it from an interest rate point of view", he says. What this new faculty entails is pricing forwards against
