Citibank’s Simmonds retires


LONDON – Citibank stalwart Julian Simmonds, global head of Citigroup FX and Structured Products (FXSP), has left the group, the bank announced last week.

Simmonds, who worked for Citi for nearly three decades, will retire, but will continue to consult with Citigroup to ensure a seamless transition, the bank said.

FXSP covers an array of trading and structured products. The trading business includes FX, warrants, and treasury and money markets – the unit that funds the firm as a whole. The
