Finex's currency complex experienced record volume on December 9, with 13,053 contracts traded. This eclipsed the previous currency trading record set in October this year, officials say. Finex's notional US dollar volume was over $2.25 billion for the day.

The Deutsche mark/Swiss franc cross-rate currency contract also set a daily record with 4,012 contracts traded, which nearly doubles the existing record set earlier this year. In addition to the other cross-rate currency contracts, Finex
