State Street has hired two new research strategists in London, confirm officials. Stewart Newnham and Dr. Anne-Sophie van Royen have joined the market and research analytics unit of the group's global trading and research business, reporting to senior vice president Avinash Persaud. Newnham was formerly head of currency research at Commerzbank, while van Royen was previously a research officer at City University in London, examining the microstructure of foreign exchange markets.
