Corporate Treasury Operations Move Toward Quasi-Profit Centers, New Survey Suggests

U.K. corporates are shifting treasury policy away from the traditional polls of either a "cost center" or "profit center," and are moving instead toward a middle, "quasi-profit center" stance, according to a recent survey conducted by Price Waterhouse in conjunction with the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

The survey, which focuses chiefly on treasury performance measurement, differentiates between different corporate treasury operations by strategy. It shows that 75 percent of U.K
